Recently, fake news related to Vietnam has been spreading rapidly on YouTube, reaching a serious level. Speculations about the withdrawal of major South Korean companies like Samsung and LG from Vietnam, and even claims of Vietnam's national bankruptcy, are rampant. This appears to be a malicious attempt by YouTubers seeking views. Such fake news negatively impacts South Korean companies operating in Vietnam and could escalate diplomatic tensions and damage public sentiment between the two countries. In reality, Samsung's Vietnam factory closure is due to increased production at its Indian factories and production adjustments due to COVID-19. The rumors about LG Display's withdrawal are also false. In fact, global companies are relocating production facilities to Vietnam. This fake news is seriously damaging relations between South Korea and Vietnam. We need to be aware of this.
